Dietary Labelling
Carleton Dining Services is committed to providing a safe & pleasant dining experience. We take a lot of pride in being able to support students with allergies, intolerances, and special diet requirements as much as possible. We recognize that students with allergies can experience a limited diet and spend a higher amount of time and effort managing their allergies compared to students who do not have a food allergy. Hence, we work closely with Housing & Residence Life Services as well as with students to provide dietary arrangements that fit the personal needs of each student.
Dining Services wants to make it easier for you to identify foods that match your dietary preferences. Look out for the following icons to help you choose menu items at our dining locations:

Gluten-Free Pantry will be Open this Fall!
Carleton University Dining Services has a one-of-a-kind Gluten-Free Pantry designed for students with Celiac Disease or gluten intolerance. The pantry is intended to give students requiring a gluten-free diet a safe place to eat. The pantry is an enclosed room with restricted access, situated inside the caf. Access of the pantry is granted on an individual basis by the Registered Dietitian.
If you have questions about our gluten-free pantry or any other dietary accommodations, please don’t hesitate to contact our Registered Dietitian via e-mail at askadietitian@carleton.ca or book an appointment.
