Welcome to the 2021/22 Dining Magazine!
Our team is incredibly excited to once again provide you with an award-winning dining experience featuring local offerings, made from scratch recipes, and a huge variety of options from which to choose. We’ve been working hard over the summer to improve our offerings, and are excited for you to see all the new restaurants, foods and services we have in store!
In addition to our existing dining locations, we’re also excited to introduce several new concepts and additions to our existing menus. As always, we strive to ensure all the food aligns with our “Real Food Real Choice” philosophy.
Over the summer we have transformed the Food Court to house our new sandwich location, Urban Deli! Select from our options of pre-made sandwiches, salads, soups, and desserts or build-your-own sandwich from over 35 different ingredients to choose from.
We have also added delicious stone-fired pizzas to our menu at The Market, featuring dough made freshly in-house, our own in-house pizza sauce, and a variety of locally sourced ingredients.
The Local Ottawa – our rotating local restaurant – will feature the Shawarma Palace, now with an expanded menu that includes beef shawarma.
We are also excited to announce the arrival of Bridgehead on campus! Featuring their menu of delectable coffees and snacks, it’s opening in the newly finished Nicol Building.
Our new mobile app Hey Chef lets you skip the lineup and save yourself time by ordering in advance at most dining locations, and our new self-order kiosks available in the Food Court will simplify ordering while allowing you to order from multiple restaurants with a few button clicks. We expect these innovations will both enhance your dining experience and offer you more flexibility to help manage your day.

All of the above is truly just the tip of the iceberg in terms of what you can expect this year. The menu at our residence dining hall, the caf, has been expanded to offer more options than ever before, and look out for complimentary food samplings throughout the school year, as we want you to try what we have created so that you can make the most of your time on campus this upcoming year.
